The Chase Continental Visa is a debit card jointly launched by JP Morgan Chase and Continental Airline. Card holders are entitled to one mile foe every dollar worth of qualifying purchases using the Chase Continental card for an annual checking account fee of USD 65. For those who are scheduled to pay a USD 25 annual checking account fee, the bearer gets one mile for every USD 2 worth of qualifying purchases.

The Chase Continental Visa hands a bonus of 2,500 miles for the first qualifying purchase. When the card is used to pay for a Continental Airlines ticket, double miles are awarded. The company has partners in car and online retails, hotel accommodations, and other partners, which could also provide additional miles.

Qualifying purchases cover those made using the debit card without the need of using your PIN number. They may be in the form of online purchases or purchases made via the telephone or mail. They only cover small-amount purchases and bill payments. They do not include cash transactions and cash advances.

To avail of more extra miles, use the credit option instead of debit when making your purchases. The payment for purchases will be taken off from your checking account every time you use your debit card. After making your first qualifying purchase, your miles will be posted to your account in about six to ten weeks.

The benefits of the Chase Continental Visa include a zero liability protection for cardholders. The miles will not expire until they are claimed and you are automatically signed up for the OnePass frequent flyer program.
